The American Association of Lutheran Churches (AALC)
History:
The AALC was formed in 1987 from former American Lutheran Church congregations which refused to join their church body in joining the new Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The AALC was envisioned as a continuation of the previous American Lutheran Church.
