Evangelical Lutheran Church of Tanzania – Lake Tanganyika Diocese (ELCT-LTD)†
History:
The Lake Tanganyika Diocese is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Tanzania. It is also an independently constituted legal entity, allowing it to affiliate with the International Lutheran Council. It grew out of mission in the ELCT in two Tanzanian administrative regions, namely Rukwa and Katavi, and was formally constituted in 2014. The diocese was registered as an autonomous church body in 2015.
