Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church in Burundi (HELCB)
History:
The HELCB have been ILC observers since 2022.
The Lutheran Church started in Burundi in 1989 but, for many reasons including lack of trained pastors and the country’s overall political instability, the church did not experience growth. In March 2017, Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church was founded to restore and unite Lutherans in Burundi.
