The Lutheran Church of Nigeria (LCN)
History:
The origins of the LCN arise out of missions by The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod beginning in 1936 among the rural Ibesikpo clan, through the work of the late Rev. Dr. Jonathan Udo Ekong as the pioneering father. It has grown from 16 initial congregations to 339 congregations in 38 districts. We work in 15 states of Nigeria and in a dozen different languages with our unifying language being English.
